Dear Friend:

Today I joined thousands of others from San Diego and visited those whom we love and remember at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

My wife Sally, along with my mother Ruth stopped to visit my father’s resting place as we paid tribute to him and gave thanks for our heroes – the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who sacrificed their tomorrows for us.

As the sun sets on this Memorial Day 2007, all of us can say “Thank You” to these defenders of freedom and their families.  On this Day of Memory, we give thanks and mourn the brave citizens who laid their lives down for our freedom. They lived and died as Americans. May we always honor them.

A friend sent me a video on YouTube I had to share.

Now watched by over 8.5 million, it reminded me of how we must always be faithful to those who are fighting for our freedom and those before us who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live free.  To them, I say thanks.  And to you, I encourage you to please watch this short video, produced by 15 year-old Lizzie Palmer to remind us of how special those are whom we honored today.

For some computers, you can click here and watch it in full screen.
